WHat do you all do to clear up pus in the foot.
Vet has been told to poultice with animalintex, and drained hoof.
Farrier also been and said not to leave animalintex on too long as it can draw good tissue too.
What do you all think?

Both are correct.

You poultice initially hot, then move on to dry, and then nothing.

Personally I wouldn't hot poultice for more than two days.

I'm dealing with a poultice at the moment and had to hot poultice for 8 days before it stiopped gushing grey/green stinking gunk

I've dry poulticed for a few days and hope to start packing it tonight as there hasn't been any discharge for a while.
Have to say that the animalintex didn't draw out anything that I didn't want

I find that as soon as the animalintex has drawn out the pus, I put on a dry dressing to mop up any draining muck and put on an easy boot. When the hole is closing I spray the area with purple spray. Not had any problems of reinfection that way.
