The injection isn't £120, that's just for us literally putting our foot through the door, skin scraping last time to have a biopsy of a wart was £150! Consultation on top.

The vet said the injection needs to be given late spring or early summer because it's a seasonal allergy. I'm not going to engage anymore but thanks for your viewpoint

That's fine, but you've mentioned ongoing issues and the injection can be given at any time, and you are within your rights to go to a different/cheaper vet. I'm sure all the other visits/treatments have cost a lot more combined and there is no faff with baths or administering drugs etc. Anyhow, best of luck.

Thanks for the replies. Would behave got this from Google 😉

He's staying at mums tonight so can "chobble" to his hearts delight in the utility room.

I did give it a wee wipe just to check there wasn't something more sinister like a stuck hayseed. All seems healthy so will leave him be and check again tomorrow.

Thanks
I tried to Google it for you "is pus on dog penis veterinary emergency" and got a safe search warning with all results hidden 😳 hope pup is all sorted now and your mind has been put to rest

I've never owned a dog only bitches so thanks to this thread and didn't know they could get smeggie pens

Eyes and genitals differing from normal I would always treat as an emergency though (probably a bit unnecessarily) though a lot of that is because I'm a bit squeamish about it 😂

Just for guidance, because of the increasing reliance on AI, Google is actually becoming quite unreliable and even at that, should never be relied upon for medical/veterinary advice. I presume TPO can utilise Google and wanted to ask real people too, who can inform her via their own experience that male dogs can be mingers ;)

Sorry -- I'm not obviously not expecting anyone to base their animal husbandry solely off the internet, I just genuinely didn't know because never owned dogs

(And I'm not going to lie this thread is making me quite glad of that fact😂😂)
