Pushing the button

A while ago I posted a thread with some piccies of my first outing with my new horse.
I purchased the pics from the photographer and asked their permission to post the photos and stated so on the thread.

I was then given a warning by HHO and the photos were removed. I'm guessing someone pushed the button on the thread?

I understand I must have done something wrong here but can someone explain so I can make sure I dont do it again. I read through the rules but am I missing something as I have seen other threads with the same kind of pics also stating they paid for them etc but theirs are still there!

I have some more photos I wanted to post but obviously wont until I know its ok...dont want another slap on the wrist!

I think the rule now is no pro photos at all because HHO can't keep a check on whether people have permission, so basically if you want to post a photo it needs to be one you took yourself.

Im pretty sure theres a sticky somewhere in one of the forums (not sure where) saying no copyrighted photos at all whether you have permission to use them or not.

I wont bore everyone with Mum's blurred pictues of our backsides then!

We shall leave the photos to the pros and you'll just have to take my word for it that we looked great!

I believe you I had some taken recently and I swear I looked the image of Angelina Jolie. *sigh* such a shame I cant show them you all

It's a shame as it's nice to see photos. There seems to be alot of button pushing at the moment and some posts are left on ok and some are button pushed, so on a different day you may be ok.

You are allowed to post links to pro and/or watermarked photos provided they are hosted on the photographer's own page. ie if you have pinched them and put them on facebook and linked to that then the link is likely to be removed if spotted. As you say the detailed post is on Picture Gallery.
