Hi, I have a very fine little rescue pony who is 14. i have had her since she was 4 months old.
In her early years she was very hard to put weight on but we managed it in the end.
then when she was about 8 she had laminitis, which she has recovered from fine.
the problem I have is she lives with another little pony who is prone to getting it too so they have a small field that they can use 24/7 and a access to the barn 24/7. As there lami is grass relaited it works better them being fed hay rather than grass as their bulk feed.
But now because of her age we have had trouble all summer trying to get a bit more weight on her for the winter. I have thought about putting her on blue chip as this is what worked when she was younger, The vet has done full bloods and a check over.
She is not ridden due to the neglect she had in her first four months.
Just wondered if anyone has any other ideas before a get blue chip. I have seen another one that is called 365 same sort of thing.
