Pyrantel wormers…

Hi,
i was looking for a pyrantel based wormers, I.e strongid p or other pyrantel based wormer but they don’t seem to be in stock ANYWHERE. Anyone know why?

Thanks. Assuming a tube is 500kg dose? Or is it 750kg? Going to be quite expensive at double does when buying for 12 horses normally get bulk discounts but all my normal places don’t have it in stock.

As I can't sleep, I went and checked other products, Embotape on one website says out of stock-manufacturing problem.

I know you wanted that particular drug but Equimax does tapes too and comes in 700kg worth so that may work out slightly cheaper?

yes will have to use another drug then. Annoying as I like to mix it up and I am worried that they get ivermectin too often, which is in a lot of those duo wormers. I will be worm counting throughout summer etc so hopefully won't worm again fingers crossed!

went for a praziquantel/ ivermectin one. Have you tried panacur 5 day for pinworm?

I think Equimax tablets work out quite economically with several horses aswell as they are easier to divide up correctly weight wise. (Unless all horses are big I guess!)

What did you get in the end for pinworm please? I've got panacur 5 day guard on order and I'm waiting for vet to ring back as my boy has pinworm. Struggling to find strongid p anywhere.
