When buying a horse out of a proper racing yard, that has been NH racing.. how long does that horse have to wait untill it can go p2p'ing... ie. say said horse ran 2 weeks ago, would it be able to go p2p'ing this season, or does it have to wait a year, therefore wouldn't be able to p2p untill next season???

Not sure of current rules but it used to be that a horse who ran under rules or was in the yard of a licensed trainer/permit holder on or after Nov 1st could not run in p2p's in the current season. Horses who won after the start of the current NH season could also not P2P in current season unless they had run in Hunterchases or amateur races. With the P2P season starting earlier (early Dec this year!) the rules may have changed. Are you thinking of having a ride in a P2P?

Got to have been out of a licensed yard by Nov 1st, can't have won since July 1st.
Horses that have won a lot of prozemoney have to wait a couple of years.
Weatherbys aren't very strict about the licensed yard bit, ring up and speak nicely and they can go a week or so over, as long as they havn't been entered.
