Q for those of you that have made your own jumps /fillers

did you use a proper exterior paint or just bog standard gloss paint? I can only find the colour i want in interior gloss paint and am wondering if i use a primer underneath whether that would protect the wood for longer than just slapping gloss on it.

we just used normal paint but they are a bit crap tbh

my sister paints the poles we use for shows and I think she undercoats twice with normal undercoat and then two coats of normal gloss paint. Johnson paint is the best we use.

When I made a water tray I used the paint in B&Q that was for painting external doors - although there was only a limited number of colours I did manage to find pale blue.

Find a dulux decorator centre via Google and take their advice but any exterior gloss should be fine
