I normally bring Jack in the night before an event, mainly to keep him clean, but this weekend we have fairly late times so won't be leaving till 2pm ish.

Would you stable even though they'll be in for much longer than usual? Or would you turn out for the night and clean pony in the morning?

He has been stabled before every event so half of me wants to keep him in just in case he behaves differently without being stabled? Also would it make him perform differently having a belly of grass?

Thanks all

When I have late starts I bring in, early in the morning, wash plait do whatever then leave in stable with his batman hoodie thing on munching hay until ready to go.

Don't worry about belly full of grass, hay/grass what's the difference? Both are forage. I school mine straight out of the paddock and he's generally still alive afterwards :D
