I have about 10 acres for my ponies, and pushing a wheel barrow up and down the hill is a mega mission for me as im so small, so im thinking about getting a little quad bike and trailer for doing my poo picking.
Oh and also all the water to the fields comes from a natural spring, so buckets have to be carried about everywhere, so think it will be useful for carting water about in too.

Im just wondering if anyone else has one, and what it is.
Or any other alternatives that i havent thought of, thanks.

Great idea, will save you loads of backache! We do ours with our 4x4 and trailer, much easier and not so heart breaking either; I want to get a quad for it too but OH is a bit wary since we had the other one nicked!

the JCB one is very strange, never seen anything like that, are they more stable then a Quad bike?

i wish i had a 4x4 still, somehow dont think my lowered saxo will be much cop lol

Yes very and amazing useful for yard work. Although you can't realy unhook your trailer and have a good old hooly round in a groundhog/gator like you can on a quad

* has a poo picking session later and now really wants a quad*

I actually had some friends who built their own field hoover to go with their quad

Get one!

You will wonder how you ever managed before. Not only for poo picking, but absolutely everything else, I muck the stables straight out into a trailer, harrowing, carting hay, water, rugs, checking on horses. I NEVER walk anywhere, and the dogs still get exercised! I have a small trailer for clearing the paddocks, brilliant, get a tipping one and you don't even have to fork muck out at the other end. I even lead horses off it

Oh, you can also get snow ploughs for them too.

My quad pulls a 7' x 12' flat bed trailer plus 50 bales of hay when it has to, yesterday it had a log splitter on the back, three chainsaws, two people and for some reason, two turnout rugs as well.

I love my Quadly

Quad and trailer all the way!

I have a honda foreman 500cc and it is my baby - in fact just taken the dog for a x country run with the bike. I dont know how i ever lived without it especially with poo picking

Good Luck. Honestly, you won't regret it, that's if you can get your OH off it! I have to fight to get on mine sometimes, we're going shopping for another one today
