I know that a few people think that if you are on a pro yard that all the horses should be fantastic and everyone should qualify easily for everything (yes, I do read other posts!).

But I don't care! I took the cob my friend and I share to a show yesterday and we qualified for the LW cobs at RIHS. And I am thrilled to bits as it is NOT easy to qualify for RIHS against the professional riders. We also got first reserve in the championship. The horse was great even on the horrible concrete ground that we had to ride on - so no working in properly before the class.

Oh FMM that is super news

I take it this is the grey?

Is your sis likely to have anything in the same class? Could a family competition ensue?

That is fab news, I know how hard is it for people who arent pros in showing to get qualifications like this, My friend had the same problem although when she did qualify for shows like the RIHS she knew she had done brilliant.

Well done to you that is fantastic It really is, she has taken her horse to hoys aswell so just shows that people who arent sponsored and pros can do it.

They had a coloured cob in the same class which came in 6th (loss of steering and brakes caused a few problems!)

Well done FMM. Prof yard or not its still hard work and you are still up against others from prof yards so the achievement is still the same and still excellent.

Where are the pics then so I can have a good oggle at the sort of horse I WILL buy (When I win the lottery)?

FFM, a sincere well done.

Don't let any detractors make it feel any less of an amazing achievement that it is. Something to look forward too and cheer you up as well!! Just makes getting up in the morning to muck out a little bit easier, don't you think!

A well done to you and your support team. I for one will be cheering you on.

FMM, firstly that is fantastic news! you work bloody hard - you derserve it!
secondly, don't let people belittle that acheviement, just beacause you are based on a pro yard, DOESN'T mean automatic qualification, and if people think that then it must be the green-eyed monster lurking!! well done and enjoy you day, i will be spectating at RHIS - not got a good enough horse yet, but maybe one day!! - i will make an effort to come and watch, what day are the cobs??
