Well daughter had her way and we went to Solihull today to do prelim 13 and 14
He has been just lunged for a week while she has been in hospital and she hacked him for 30 mins. yesterday, so he was quite keen in the first test and first in but went beautifully and won overall with 75%.
Then an hour later they did the qualifier and both of them were a bit tired he was first in again and not quite so spot on but still got 70% and won the restricted but only 3rd overall[ Lorna Wright came 1st and 2nd].
The judge came up to Lorna and Claire at the prize giving and said she hadn't judged prelim for ages and was amazed by the high standard, which was lovely.
As he won a qualifier with 77% last Tuesday that means he has qualified and she can now relax as she will probably only do petplan novice again next year anyway so won't worry about doing qualifiers.
Met FinnMcCoul in the canteen [ the best place to be].I then saw her riding down to warm up and looking very smart. I don't know how she got on, hope she will post and enjoy your lesson tomorrow.
