Really silly question but whats the best way of putting quarter markers on. I've got the plastic stencils to use. Do I just use a wet body brush and brush the hair back the opposite way? I feel so stupid asking this question!!

Forget the stencils they aren't any good. They are square & flat & the horses bun is curved. Best thing to use is a 'nit comb' which you can buy in any chemist. Dampen the rump & then comb the pattern you want in with the nit comb. You can't use a normal comb as you need the fineness of the nit comb. Good Luck

do it free hand, dont use the sheets.
It is very easy to tell and often looks very naff when someone uses the sheets.

BUT if you do decide to use the sheet, then yes you just need to brush a damp body brush over it against the direction of the hair.

Thanxs for your replys. I wouldn't normally bother but the kids are doing a show on Sunday and have asked if he can have pretty bits on his bottom and I thought I'd make the effort and give them a go

you can damped the area and put a little plaiting gel on too to hold the pattern longer, like hairspray!.
