Quarter sheets, over or under??

just to clear up at debate between myself and a friend.........

Do you put yours over the numnah, betweent it and the saddle? or under the numnah, or do you not use a numnah when using one.

I am talking about the old fashioned whitney types of quarter sheets, not the cut to shape type.

Exercise sheet, sheepskin 1/2 pad then saddle. Usually I would have a saddle cloth under the pad but my exercise sheet is a fleece one of about the same thickness as my saddle padso it's a straight swap.

under numnah if i put it on top it slips back!!!

I have no idea whats correct but I put numnah on then sheet then saddle. I fold the front of the sheet under the saddle flap so I can get to my girth straps easily. Works for us!

Just to be different, i do exercise rug, 1/2 pad/prolite then saddle with sheet tucked up under the girth straps.
I would find it too much of a faff to try and aim my saddle over the numnah if it was under the exercise sheet plus it might slip down over the whithers.

Sheet, numnah, 1/2 pad , saddle on the other as i always use thicker numnahs with him
