Question about apples

This might sound very daft but can I feed my horses cooking apples? I never have - something in the back of my mind is muttering colic and upset tummy's.

We do. Not had any problems.
Cider apples can be a problem if they eat to many (we have a cider tree in our field) one year my mare got drunk on them!

Something in my mind mutters this too!

Taste them.... the ones on my tree would probably be fine as not too acidic and sour. But if you wouldnt eat them then probably neither will they.

We do, but not in the same volume as normal apples. Cant quite remember why, something to do with the acid causing tummy problems like you said

But anyway, in short, yes!
