As you are more likely to know the rules for endurance riding!

If I turned up to an endurance ride with a Bitless rope bridle, secured with a double knot on the side (like you would a rope headcollar), would this be within the rules, or would I get told to take it off for being unsafe?

As above it might be worth checking, but I doubt it will be an issue as bitless bridles of all sorts are commonly used in endurance. I use one that is basically a headcollar with reins clipped on and no-one looks twice.

On the other hand, don't ask the question if you don't want to hear the answer, or let sleeping dogs lie. Someone tried to get a rule change against rope bitless bridles passed in SERC, but it was not passed. I reckon you'd be fine.k
