Question for lucretia

I thought I'd heard that they put it into part ownership by WFP's mother in law to get round that?

no but i think you will find that either william is a 'part' owner or phillip is allowed to because he is a legal resident here or something like that. if not then lets hope wwe dont win a medal if we are about to get disqualified!!!! the rules re ownership are pretty complicated but i am sure the parties concerned have covered all te required bases.

OK - thought I would ask as you are so close to the action. Just a friend in Middleburg who is a US event sponsor / owner brought the subject up and were surprised to see Adkins still note as owner in the start list.

FEI site for Beijing re ownership and nationality.

2.2. Ownership
2.2.1. Horses entered for the equestrian events at the Olympic
Games must have been registered with FEI as property of
Chapter I - General

owners of the same nationality as the competitor, by 31st
December 2007.
2.2.2. Horses, with multinational ownership, must be registered with
FEI by the 31st December 2007 (as per above paragraph),
under the name of the NF for which the horse will compete
during the Olympic Games.

Reads as though the NF should be down as owner or is it just the way we are interpreting it?
