Sorry not meaning anyone is getting on...

I have downloaded one of our old horses logs and wondered how big a class C & D used to be?

Show Date Class
ARENA UK 16Jan91 D
POSKITTS BSJA SHOW 16Mar91 C
NORTON HEATH EQU CENTRE 16Jan93 D
LORDSBRIDGE SHOW 03Mar93 D

Discovery is D, and yes 15 years ago it was still D. BN has always been BNov, N is Newcomers, F is fox. O is open.

That's all I can think off!

Back in't days when I were a lad BN didn't even exist !

Disco has always been 1m though as far as I know

Slight confusion arises though as pre 1990'ish everyone used to refer to the classes in feet and inches. Disco was simply 3'3", NC was 3'6", Pathfinders was 3'9" and Fox was 4'. Grade C and B&C classes were 4'3" to 4'6".....and I never went any bigger than that lol!

Other notations that now appear on printouts are AC90, AC1.00, AC1.10 and AC1.20 for the various Amateur Champs qualifiers

Discovery was like a restricted open class years ago, lots of show centres didn't even hold them, it is only recently they have become a qualifying class. British Novice you used to have to win to qualify for the Regional Finals and you didn't have to register to jump the first round, only to jump the Regionals. Alot of old print outs will read the same.

When I first registered back in 1976 you started with newcomers at 3'3 then fox at 3'9 - 4' then b&c 's were usally around 4'3"

Those were the days
