I have decided that Bruce's flatwork and xc is too nice to waste and I want to have a go at eventing him as I have always wanted to do it but never had the horse...now I have....hopefully!

Anyway, I am based in Surrey/Sussex boarder and I was wondering what the nicest place to go and do an intro is? I know that the start of the season is a while away but want to have something to aim for!

Any suggestions for my first intro would be much appreciated...I will let you know if I get there!

Munstead in Godalming is lovely. I did that as my first Intro 2 seasons ago, basically because the course was the same as a Riding Club Event I had done there the year before. I've since been there for both their Spring and Autumn events, and they have put in quite a few new jumps - so the old fashioned Hunter Trial jumps mixed with a few big new boxy sorts.

Brightling is another lovely place not too scary, but that's not until the summer.

Coombelands in Pulborough is a good place. It is a cross country schooling center and now holds an Intro and a PN. Whats good is that you can take your babies to school at the course and compete over it later I believe.
