Question for the Shooting Bods (not doggy!)

Sorry - not a doggy post at all! But I know there are loads of people who go shooting in here.........

So my question is.....

Where do you buy your breeks?

I have none for the coming season which starts in just two weeks I will have no time to go out shopping so will have to get some online - any recommendations please? What make do you prefer? Do you like those waterproof ones? Don't you find it really hard to find ladies breeks?

The shop I work in gets their breeks from Hoggs of Fife. There is also a relatively new company called Alan Paine which does good shooting wear at reasonable prices. Funnily enough I work at John Morris & Co and because we sell shooting stuff people often confuse us with John Norris, and we often recommend them for people wanting to buy online.

I tend to wear over trousers rather than breeks for beating and also buy online or at country shows from John norris.

I've got the Ladies Musto Technical Tweed ones - they aren't cheap but they are warm and waterproof! I still wear treggins tho as i worry about snagging them and as i pick up i'm usually covered in blood and feathers!! oh and bog mud (as you know having been down to our place!!)

Bought them from a local store though so not much help to you - another vote for anything from John Norris here...bought most of my Christmas presents there last year Very good service indeed!

Don't think I'm expected to dress up too much though - phew Or I wouldn't be able to eat all winter!

Don't worry spudlet, I wear 15 quid brown cords from Tesco's! Once my leggings are on no one knows! Although I have some nice new moleskins for this year!

I detest leggings! Its alright for you being a giant but for little old me - they are the worst things ever invented!!

I would rather get soaking wet than wear waterproof leggings!!
