Question for those that know about the racing industry.

I seem to be the only person who isn't that keen on Anshan's! I must admit, I have only come across bays so we will go with the bay Anshan's being not so great! The ones I rode all ran as 2 yr olds but I think Anshan was then aimed at the NH sector as he went out of fashion on the flat. He bred a handful of decent animals. Anyway I would assume the horse was late going into training due to the reasons mentioned above, generally if they are rubbish the trainers won't keep them in the yard for yonks not doing anything as it's a waste of the owners money and taking up room in the yard. I'd be interested in which yard you got her from - generally trainers or head lads are keen to hear the progress of their old horses. I am sure you will have great fun with her for many years. Just because she didn't race doesn't mean that she's broken! The no racing agreement is standard practise - again nothing to worry about unless you want to race her!
