A girl at our yard had a 15.2hh TB type mare, about 15 years old. She bought it for £1200 last year but struggled to ride it - never had a lesson on it as far as I know, and it's not that bad, but I wouldnt know as she never let anyone else get on it.
She then got one of the other horses on our yard on loan, so decided to sell this one. Put it on Horsemart or somewhere for about 2 weeks and cos she didnt get any phonecalls (at £1200) she decided to bring in a dealer to look at it.
Dealer came today, looked at it, didn't ride it, gave her £500 for it and took it away in travel boots and a tail bandage but did NOT take the saddle or bridle or rugs (all decent) even though he could have.
Has this horse gone for meat? She doesn't think so but Ive got a bad feeling.....
wouldnt know how much the meatman would pay tho?
