I am just doing the registration papers for the filly and hope someone can help me with the ID page please.

I know this is a whorl but, do I include this line of hair growing the other way up towards her ears too?

Thankyou.

Its a feathered whorl, my horse has lots of them. I believe it is marked with an X and a line going in the direction of the hair.

Does a vet not have to do this part for the passport?

In the UK, yes. I don't think they have passports here, it certainly isn't mandatory.
This is for Breed Registration.

In the UK, I had to have to have the Vet in to do it, which is why I wasn't sure about the 'feathering' only position of whorls are specified on the diagrams.

Thankyou all for the advice.

My own understanding is that you can become a "competent authority" approved by a specific breed society which means you can fill out the ID forms for the foals. Actually, a friend and I are waiting to hear if we've passed the test at the moment.
