Got my mare booked to have her back check for the first time on Wednesday. I have a lesson on Thursday evening, do i cancel? Lesson is walk and trot.

Yes.

Always give them day off the day after then big shapes the following day after having their backs done. Otherwise you will undo everything that has been done...even if just walking and trotting. May as well just give me the money!?!

I can't cancel the back as he's coming from Wiltshire to Wales and i won't get another appointment for another month.

If i have to pull out of the lesson, i'll over the lesson cost, which is £10 for half hour.

It'll cost you more if you have to call the bacjk guy out again if your horse tweaks something. I'd cancel your lesson. Better to be on the safe side

id cancel if i were you, our back man usually says 3 days off after he's been to do horses on our yard.

You'll need to cancel your lesson. As this is the first time your horse has been checked you can probably anticipate that there will be quite alot of adjustment needed. Normally you need to give the following day of & then gently bring them back into work over the next couple of days. As this is his first time you may be advised to give a longer period.
