Of course he can, and probably will already have done, serve the mares. Probably since last year at least. My neighbour has a colt that is not even a year old and she has had to separate him from the fillies because he is already giving serving a damn good try!
Another friend's section A stallion's first foals are arriving as we speak, and he's rising 4.
Unless your boy is VERY special and has looks, conformation, temperament and papers and pedigree to back it up, he needs to be gelded. There are too many horses of nondescript poor quality breeding in this country already, we don't need any more. People are struggling to shift qualify stock never mind c**p.
With all due respect you will not make much money on stud fees from him, especially if he is difficult to handle as no one is going to want to pay for the privilege of having their mare shredded!
It always amazes me that when people shout troll/hidden identity they pick on a person who would have absolutely no problem posting exactly what they think under their own identity. Why on earth would Shilasdair need to hide behind a false user name?
Has everyone had a PM that wants one? if not shout and I'll send one

Please can I have one?
I'd also like to add that if OP was at my yard with that attitude I would leave and all my horses are geldings! I'd be seriously pissed off if I had a mare that became pregnant due to your ignorance and stupidity.
Oh and as to whether it's an wind up or not - nothing would surprise me now. I have always held by the saying never underestimate the stupidity of the human race - but recent events have proved to me that I have been doing just that for some years now.
Blimey so you get sacked from tesco, have a iffair golly gosh are you a bright spark! a stallion will get MARES PREGNANT! so surely you will atleast seperate him from the other mares??????? DUR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because Shilasdair has made similar posts (i.e. 'I don't want my old dog anymore because it can't go for long walks anymore.') to point out how utterly moronic some people can be.
I don't think anybody on here really thought that Shilasdair would make a serious post like Guesswho2's.
I did think it might be her first of all, but the grammar/spelling was too awful.

Yes - but didn't she use one of her two known user names for that?

No one said she needs to, but she might want to. I'm not sure how people are claiming to know who this is have reached their conclusions, but whatever, leave 'em to it.
I agree with your next point, never under-estimate the stupidity of the human race.
He's fertile now, get him away from the mares or your be faced with vet bills.
Have him castrated or move him, you can put him on something like Global herbs Rig calmer, that may stop him being so randy!

Yes, she did.
Oh well, let's hope this was a wind-up; hopefully there is nobody out there who is stupid and/or irresponsible enough to really mean it...
ther is no way that shilasdair could of done it
if you look there was a post made called oh dear that was posted at 12.23 by same person
shilasdair wrote two posts one 12.21 and 12.26 there is no way she could of signed in and out and wrote the two posts in the space 2 or 3 mins apart

Thank you for your (somewhat flawed) detective work.
The reason to believe it is not me is because I have said I don't troll under any other names than my existing two.
And as a few people on here know, I may have my faults (
Just on the of chance that this is not one big joke
I would say to you I hope to goodness you have insurance that will cover you for the vets bills and the rest WHEN the mare are shown to be in foal and I say when because he will get them in foal if they are not already. The owners are going to looking for your head on a stick when they find there mares in foal to an unlicessced stallion. Move him today to a safe field on his own NOW and for goodness sake get him gelded now. With out papers no one is going to want to send there mares to him.
If he has only pregnated one mare, then you are very lucky to have gotten away with it. The money you are going to have to fork out just for one let alone all the other mares in the field is mind-boggling. I suggest you geld him immediately then find yourself a VERY well paid job to compensate the mares owners when they come after you with pitch-forks!
the best thing to calm him down would be to remove his balls.
and probably the YOs too while you are at it.
and horses are fertile WELL before 5.
some are fertile before 12 MONTHS!
ask a qualified vet.or anyone with any sense!
the best thing you can do with your 'money making' scheme is shove it!
why not ask you 'vet trainee' friend, what calmer to use to repress stallions sexual yearnings?!i would dearly love to know what uni they are going it!
you tesco robbing, adulterous llittle so-and-so!
what a troll!
well said amandaco2 let just hope this is really a wind up, i mea lets face it, 3yr old STALLION as second horse wow she must be good/ incredibly stupid

Its only two of them being difficult the other owners are fine with it.
I am not trying to be difficult but I am a bit hard up at the mo and feel like he could make me some money and pay for his keep. I cant afford to geld him at the mo even if I want to so not an option.
