May be getting a new saddle at the weekend if it fits the horse and i like it, it is a jumping one with the long girth tabs - do you just get a dressage girth for this? And does anyone have any experiences with them, not sure on the make im afraid but seen pics of it being ridden in and it looks nice

They are fab I have two which sound very similar, yes you can use a dressage girth, I have short stud girths for mine, as i use studs, but they are around £100 for a good make.

Hope it fits....good luck

Are they like the close contact ones as this one looks low on the horse it is on but i am not sure if it supposed to be lower than normal if that makes sense, it is currently being used by a TB who looks very similar to my boy, the saddle i have is an old calcutts one that i have had for about 13 years!!!! have ridden in lots of other saddles but this one is not really forward cut enough for jumping the unreliable TB that i need to ride more uphill!!! - fingers crossed!!!

thank you x
