I am doing my dissertation at university which is exploring the knowledge and understanding the lay horse rider has of the action of the bit and the bridle on the ridden horse.

Question 5 is a little odd... it's unclear if the last option is intended as a higher level than the previous option. For example, there are plenty of riders who are for example very competent in dressage, but don't jump regularly...
