Questions to ask when viewing

Didn't see the list, but one thing I have found helpful is to have someone else there who listens and gets into normal conversation with the seller perhaps when you are riding the horse rather than sales talk. Amazing what gems can be picked up that way as the conversation gets flowing. Good luck.
 
How long have you owned him?
When was he broken?
Have you had any lameness problems/ medical issues? Have you had any ridden issues?
Does he hack alone/company?
What work is he currently doing?
Is he good go clip/shoe/catch/load?
Has he got any vices?
Has he got a sensible attitude?
Is he difficult to keep weight on?
Is he ok to stable/ turnout alone/company?
Current feed/turnout regime?
Is he ok to travel?
What is he like to be shod/vet?
Is he open to vet?
Does he have clean legs?
Are you flexible on price to the right home?
Is he good with other horses?
How high is he currently jumping, loose and ridden?
Is he suitable for a competent teenager?
What is he like going through water?
Is he prone to mudfever/ colic/ sweet itch/ sarcoids?
Can he have dry hay, or must it be haylage/soaked?
What is he like in traffic?
What are his manners like on the ground?
Is he passported/microchipped/freezemarked/registered?
What feed is he on?
Is he wormed and vaccinated and up to date with teeth rasping?
Does he have good feet or does he have any special shoeing requirements?
What bit is he worked in?
Will he stay in a field alone?
Does he rear/buck/nap/bolt?
Does he tie up ok?
