Hi there, just after some quick reassurance that this pony doesn't look too small for my 7yr old? He's around 12.2ish...she will obviously outgrow him in a few years but the current owner is 12 and doesn't look massive on him. He'd be a first pony...really would prefer her to have something smaller that she can handle and ride herself rather than buying bigger. She was able to walk and trot independently off the lead rein on him. Thanks!

Not too small at all, though you need a better fitting saddle and MIGHT need a smaller one, in order for it to sit correctly behind the shoulder AND in balance (it's currently tipping back which makes her leg come forwards), which might be an issue. Work with a saddle fitter that's experienced with natives etc. You may also find it useful to measure the space available https://www.ahsaddles.com/post/2019/04/30/horse-shopping-saddle-length-part-1
