Rough idea please on VW LT50, N reg', only 30,000 km on clock, with virtually new IW horsebox body. I know bodies are over £4000 new.

Figures, recommendations or otherwise gratefully received - but very quickly, only have an hour or so!
Thanks.

I would also say about 6-7k in this market. We got 5.5k for our VWLT35 last October. The whole thing was just as it was when it was new, and it couldn't pull the skin off a rice pud, so you should definitely get more!

Oh, I'm not selling, there's one in the farm auction today and I don't know whether to bother going or not but I'll kick myself if I could have afforded it! It will be a bargain for someone; one careful known owner from new etc.

Worth going if it's at farm auction IMO - boxes really aren't selling at the moment and you could get yourself a bargain.

Well unless it goes for £4500 or under, I'm out anyway and I'd hate to be too close to that; seems all the worse if it's only just out of your range I think; I'd rather it went for megabucks above my limit if that makes sense!

Pat,
You should go because people are feeling the pinch at the minute, so you might bag yourself a bargain. We were very lucky to sell when we did for what we did (MOT only had a month left and tax had about 3 or 4 months left).
Go along and stick to your limit of 4.5k.

Ha, if I went over that limit I'd be on the street corners for ever and ever to pay it off!

I'd go with your 4.5K and walk away as soon as the bidding goes over (if it does, you may have a nice surprise).
The figure I gave you was what I would expect to see it advertised at privately, auctions are a completely different ball game.

To my shame, I didn't go in the end but have just rung auctioneers.

It went for £4,600 but with vat and buyer's premium on top of that it ended up far nearer £5,900. Still a fantastic bargain for someone but well over my limit so quite pleased; if it had only been hundreds over, I wouldn't have been so pleased!

Thanks for your help yesterday.
