Been a while so just quick update on my ottb buglet.
School has been pretty bad so he's had a few weeks mainly hacking and really settled. Still get the odd loony day but mostly the bucking has stopped. Got him into a treed saddle finally.
Last week school was freshly harrowed so had a little pop and he was really confident so novice jumping planned for next week - oh and I sorted him some wheels so he can go to parties!
His weight is holding and he's no longer cranky round his tummy so I think the gastro-aid worked for now, still on magnesium and limestone flour, soaking his nuts too before he has them and never let him stand hungry.
Introduced him to the clippers last month when i clipped B1 and he totally freaked. Today i started with quiet human ones expecting to take a strip off his gullet if nothing more as he's a bit sweaty after work -anyway he's now sporting a very high trace and looks very smart! Let me do him with the big clippers and everything. Just a bit ragged by his ears as he hates anything near them. After that he went in the school and worked like a Grand Prix dressage star!
