Quick eBay question- BUYING SADDLES

There is a saddle on eBay I really like which is ending at lunch time. The saddle is 4 hours away from me so I can't collect it but having heard so many horror story's about broken trees ect on arrival, what is my come back if something like this happens?
I have never spent this amount of money on eBay/paypal before so I'm a bit worried!

I have brought 2 saddles from ebay, one was fine, the other was not as described (had busted stitching), so started a dispute, sent it back (recorded delivery) and Paypal refunded.
 
You should always be covered if you pay by paypal, if things are not as described you can send back. I have brought 2 saddles off ebay and have been fine. Obviously the main problem is going to be fit.
 
Thanks everyone. I won it!! I have paid by paypal so hopefully i will be ok if there are any discrepancies. I just hope it fits now!
