Having completed my degree, I now have the challenge of an MSc Dissertation to write and would be really grateful if you could spare five minutes to answer some simple questions about your equine foot care practices.

I never dreamt I would end up interested in horse’s feet but then again life is full of surprises!

The questions are mainly quick, multiple choice tick boxes with no questions which will identify you. I have also compiled a short quiz, based around equine feet, to allow you to test your knowledge afterwards.
The questions and quiz can be accessed using the following link https://goo.gl/forms/1bEBCIzFwzPhuM1V2

When the Google Form closes the answers to the Quiz, will be posted in this thread, within 2 weeks so you can see how you fared.
I would also appreciate if you would share this with others, to enable maximum participation, as the data is hoped to assist in improving future equine welfare.

I hope you enjoy the quiz and thank you for your interest.

I've got a bit stuck with the presumption of having a farrier :p

because once I've clicked one by mistake it won't let me unclick it!

I gave up as there didn't seem to be an option which allowed for shoeing/nonshoeing being dependent on work. Pony is often unshod over winter but needs shoes over the summer because of increased road work.

Hi everyone,

A huge thank you to everyone who has shown interest and to those of you who have spared the time to answer the questions and take part in the quiz you are providing brilliant responses and are totally magic!!

It is always a worry when you launch something like this and I really want to get as much data as possible.

If you haven’t taken part already, have a go it’s pretty simple to do, and if you have already helped please can you tell others about it and share the link.

Thanks again, your help is greatly appreciated!

Just made a backside of it on the last question! Initially I thought no and then thought of the coffin joint which I was sure was a smaller part above the pedal bone! I’ve just looked it up and I was wrong ... oops

Hi everyone,

Just to say the Google Form will be closing after the weekend so this is your last chance to be involved.

A huge thank you to all those who have already taken part, especially those who have entered details of more than one of their horses!

For those who haven't seen this thread before, the questions are all very quick and easy and the quiz may make you think a bit!

Bye for now, have a great weekend!
