Still confined to quarters I'm afraid - solely because despite my nagging, my vet hasn't sent the x-rays over so my farrier hasn't seen them and therefore he hasn't had the eggbars put on his fronts. Grrr.

He has, though, had plenty of visitors to break the boredom . . . including our very own The Fuzzy Furry who kindly brought him an apple and there are plans afoot for her to bring Big Fuzzy over for a hack once Kal is fit enough :D. He's had a couple of short munches on the grass directly opposite his stable and today after giving him a wash (covered in poo stains) I took him for a pootle (in hand) up the gallops for a rather more extended munch . . . he grew about a hand, and snorted and jogged the whole way up (it's not very far . . . about a minute's walk . . . and it's all sand/fine dirt) but was very, very happy to bury his nose in some grass for about five/ten minutes.

Because it was raining today when I mucked out, I put him in a spare stable with his haynet (opposite his own box) and he proceeded to flybuck and canter round it the ENTIRE time (rubber matting on the floor). Worked himself into a right state.

So. He's desperate to go out. Need to light a fire under the vet. And then we can see how we go.

Oh, and he prefers strawberry yoghurt to blueberry ;).
