Hi, finally got my horsebox, hooray and Im so made up with it. Theres just a couple of things I need to know and wondered if you could help.

I stressed I wanted an isolator but havent got one. Is it expensive or difficult to have one fitted, are they totally necessary, is there an alternative?

I have telescopic partitions and they rattle quite badly. I seem to think its caused by the telescopic bit rattling against the 'arm' openning, if you know what I mean. I reckon this could be stopped with a rubber cap/casing arround the (arm) entrance, where the telescopic bit comes in and out. Do yours have this on them.

Lastly ... phew

Any good sites for graphics/decals, nothing fancy. Looked at the Oakley site but its just a stripe.

Thanks for reading and for any replies.

I would definitely get an isolator fitted unless you are using your box very regularly. They are not expensive to fit.

You can get stick on graphics I believe which are cheap and easy. Don't know where from though...

No idea on the partitions! Sorry not much help , but congrats on your new box

Check your insurance as well as a lot of companies are now insisting on them. They are about £20 to buy and arent difficult to fit if you know someone mechanically minded

Thanks everyone. I was a bit miffed really as I insisted on an isolator and part way through the build asked again, which made me think they'd forgotton, got too far and couldnt fit it without a struggle or they were expensive as when I picked it up, I asked yet again and he said they hadnt fitted one. I was happy to pay for it as an extra so couldnt understand really why it wasnt done.

Our partitions rattled, we found it was where the pin went through to attach to side of box, we use a piece of hight density foam round the bar, the pin goes through as well, if that makes sense.

I would definitely get one fitted, as otherwise, you'll find that you are constantly replacing or recharging the batteries. Worse is that you'll get in it ready to go off somewhere and turn the key and .................. nothing! Agree with others - they are not expensive and worth having. Partitions, I would call up a local horsebox company and see what they say. I do know what you mean though, they do rattle a lot, but I seem to remember that if you have them set in the same position, they sort of quieten down a bit! Sorry I cant be of more help. Good luck

Get one fitted, when our barn/lorry went on fire we know the isolator was NOT on, whether this would have prevented it, I don't know but I wouldn't take the risk on not having it.

Ive got to go back tomorrow so I didnt want to look a complete nutter asking for rubber attachments to stop the rattles if they didnt exist and mither about the isolator etc.
Thanks everyone, the horsebox was built by a proper company so I will ask about isolator AGAIN!!! and the other little bits

I've just had my lorry resprayed and new graphics put on. The graphics were supplied and applied by a ,local firm. I looked in yellow pages and rang around for quotes. You can choose whatever you want depending on your cash and imagination!
