REALLLLLLY want to ride but the mare I have on loan has decided that being bought back into work and trained up in time for the the summer season is a bit too much like hard work...

So shes gone from lame to lame and lame to pretending to hopping!

Bloody horses!

Just want to be in the saddle - not on the end of a sweeping brush!!

Poor horsey, so what are u doing about her lameness, is it a foot abscess?

I strongly doubt she is pretending to be lame, & more precisely pretending the lameness is increasing purely to avoid being worked. I can understand someone being concerned, disappointed, sad etc that their horse is lame but ranting is a new one.
Don't you think its more likely the original cause of the lameness, which I'm sure has been investigated, has just developed further to cause the hopping?

I started off my saying poor horsey - but decided she is just an actress and not getting any more extra fuss carrots of hugs!!!

First of all think she pulled some thing by bucking around the field when some horses is next field got loose, then seemed almost fine but gave her few days off and for no reason she started hopping. Seen by physio - vet coming out and now she has mud fever....

On box rest - vet in morning but today shes very happy going for walks and not hopping!

Want to ride her... and make her into Milton ;-(

I was joking... All been investigated. Shes a delicate soul and all is being investigated thoroughly. She is also getting extra hugs and carrots

I think it started as a pull in the field but now the mud fever is really giving her hell

She has all the meds to make her better but vet tomorrow in case as she other aliments (ulcers) that can make her uncomfortable
