Quick question about vetting and insurance.

Really quick one.....
If you brought a horse that had been vetted about 5weeks before hand would you need it to be re vetted to get it insured or would the vets cert still stand?

Also depends (or did) on the amount you are insuring for. It was £5000 with NFU, as in if the horse is insured for less than this, you dont need a vetting anyway.
 
Very good point Louby, I have the most thorough vetting ever for madam, but because I insure for "base rate" (and she was under 5k!) they dont want it anyway!!

Always remember though when accepting a previous vetting cert, to bear in mind the part that reads "would not affect this horses use as a hunter, eventer or whatever". What might pass or be suitable as, say, a hack may not be so for a hunter/eventer. Also, why did those who had it vetted not buy it??
