If a horse crosses its hind legs when trotting (with no saddle) is it best to leave it well alone despite it having a reasonably good current record... is it an indication of an underlying problem or can it just be natural action sometimes? Its very noticable but I wouldn't call it lame...

Sorry I'm useless at things like that, all I know is it normally indicates a problem high up but not 100% sure on that even!!

Jerry never used to cross behind but he does now. He has damage to both hind suspensieries but think it was onlyonce the front feet stopped hurting that he started crossing behind, now it is really obvious.

Dont know if that helps at all!!
