Quick question - new horse

Will be picking up my new horse on either wednesday or tuesday, cery excited!!

But should I pick him up on tuesday evening when it may be dark arriving home, leave him in the field and won't be able to see him untill wednesday early afternoon so he may be completly alone untill then. Or pick him up on wednesday spend the afternoon with him and then thursday morning?

I know I should pick him up on wednesday really I just can't wait to get him home!!

If you could stable him then Tuesday evening. If not I would wait until Wednesday.

For peace of mind pick him up Wednesday - just to give you some time together and settle in - it can be very exciting but listen to your head and not your heart!

Pick up on wednesday. I would be worrying about him all tuesday night about if he was settled or not, especially if you arent stabling him.

Definitely Wednesday I'd say. You don't know if your horse will be OK out on his own or not. He could do himself some damage if he panics. Hope it goes well.

Wednesday for sure, our new pony arrived later than expected on a sunday afternoon, and even though he is stabled I still was awake all night worrying about him.

Cant wait to hear all about your new horse when you get him, and make the most of lie ins, after he come you can kiss good bye to those stolen treats

Thanks guys, will confirm wednesday with his owner Just thought I'd point out that he has been living out for the past four years, so think it would be fairest for him to be turned out as it's what he's used to. Don't think I will miss the lie inns, and actually having money or a social life! Very excited about having a four legged beast again!

I agree that Wednesday would be best, then you have all day to bond with him and make sure he's settled. I'd be worried all night if I got him on Tuesday!
