Quick question- Please answer!

For a standard sized bale how much roughly in kg do you think a slice of hay would weigh?? i thought it would be about 1kg. but tell me if you know different!!!

Asking people to guess the answer would completely defeat the point of this post because you wouldn't know the proper answer.

You need to weigh it as slices vary between bales. However at a guess I would say 2lbs (is that about 1kg?).

You'd have to weigh it, like someones said - sections of hay vary greatly from one another. And so does everyones hay! for example, my last years hay bales are nice and light yet the new stuff is heavier because obviously it hasnt had time to dry out completely yet.

on the small bales of hay, we used to feed as one slice weighing 2 lb or just under a kg. So yeh your about right.
