Quick Question! Rugs?

It's a stable rug I'm after ATM - any experiences there? He's got Rhino, HW Amigo and Rhinegold TO's so well kitted out on that front. We're a bit lacking in the stable rug dept and could do with a MW stable with neck for once he's nekkid

It's actually just a stable rug I'm after as we're well kitted out in terms of TO rugs (though he came with a half neck MW...what's the point of a half neck?

). Just wanted a full neck MW stable rug.
LOL @ Pidge's expensive taste in rugs... I know just what you mean!

Yep, am up for it. Still not very brave jumping, though we've had a couple of SJ lessons recently. Taking it easy with the jumping due to other issues but the going is good at Somerford isn't it? Good take off and landings? Def up for an outing soon though

Ooh, hang on, I'm sure that I've got a few 6'9" horsewear stable rugs I don't need... Not sure I've any with neck covers mind, but I think it's nice for their neck to be open when they're in....

Any use? What weight do you call MW for a stable rug? I can have a look at what I've got

Ah, you edited before I answered

I guess mine probably aren't much use then.

Personally, I imagine that for "cold" horses half necks are quite handy in the stable (if I ever stabled!) as they don't ruin the mane/give it a break, but actually, even when I did last stable, I would use no necks at all, or often left their T/Os on

Oh then for stable rugs if the amigo are no good the mark todd ones fit a treat. I have 2 lightweight amigo stables and a 200g mark todd stable that I use under his TO's when necessary.
cool might be looking at next weekend for Somerford, take offs lovely

unless you fancy a fittening hack over Cannock Chase - lots of long hills to gallop up

The jumping will come as I'm now popping 3' happily

My LW Show cob has all WB rugs.....just NOT the Freestyle system as they rub him/
WB "Original" pattern fits him great, I think I have at least one of every T/O rug.

I've got dressage booked every weekend til the end of the month now (boring I know but am determined to qualify for Trailblazers!) but let me know other times you go. We can't do too much flat out galloping yet (other issues with him that I'll tell you about when I see you!) unless it's a good surface or wet ground so I might be a bit dull for you!

That would be great if you don't mind? Don't care what colour as it ends up covered in poo anyway

Can you look if they have fastenings that I *could* attach neck covers to? I can always buy a separate neck cover then. I like a neck cover as the big pony will be totally nekkid underneath.

I would call MW maybe 200g-300g, anything below is LW, anything 350g and above is HW.

we're on hols week beginning 24th Aug so may go up then? There's only 2 places we gallop at Somerford anyway so you won't make it dull at all

Love Weatherbeeta (any except the Landa which is their cheapest and rubbish) - all mine have them (Arions, Tristar, Oricans). They've always fitted all mine really well including a very solid Welsh D who made FAL and HW look like mini-skirts!
