Quick question stirrup leather length ..

Need some new leathers are 58" classed as quite long or normal?! Would they be ok for jumping length? Can you divide the 58 by 3 to get an average leg length?

I only got some dressage ones which I have been wrapping around the iron twice to jump with to get the right length

58" sounds quite long. 54" is often the standard for ladies, I think.

54'' is long for me! I'm 5'1'' with very short legs so use kids leathers (think they're 48'') so I don't have to put holes or twists in them

If you look at the pic on the right of my sig, that's me on my not quite 14.2hh - he looks quite big there because my legs are so short!
By the way, if you can't find what you need on ebay, try rideaway for leathers. They have a selection of leathers and deliver pretty quickly.

hi my daughter is very tall (36" inside leg) and she uses 61" stirrup leathers which go short enough for her when she is jumping but i would go for 54" if you not that tall
