Whichever they prefer!!? The brine one would be healthier.

No no no, too much salt. Use the ones in oil but drain the oil off.

Definitely NOT the brine tuna...its salt water!

Drain the oil off and use that tuna instead.

Thats what I thought - I still put the sunflower oil in her feed as I thought it would be good for her coat?

I guess it depends how often you feed it? Most prepared dog feed has oil already in it so it could be too much. Have you tried sardines in oil? They're very good for coats and bones as they still have the little bones in them.

I have a very fussy cat and realised that it was cheaper to feed it actual tins of tuna than the expensive, tiny tins of tuna cat food that it loves. I usually drain it - whichever sort it is - and if it's in brine I rinse it through in a sieve before I serve it to wash away the salt.

Boo my rottie, has been known to muscle his way in and steal Benni's food with no ill effects - he likes them all: tuna, pilchards and sardines. You think of tuna as being a cat's choice of food but I think Winalot has it as one of their tinned varietes.
