for in hand mountain and moorland (large breed) I have a new forest pony. Can i show him in hand in a double bridle (rugby pelham) and lead him with his double reins overs his head or will it look untidy? I dont own an in hand bridle and cant afford to buy one. Also can I wear a hacking jacket, beige jods, jod boots and hat to lead or do I have to wear some sort of in hand outfit????????

Can you lead him in a single bit? That would look better than double reins. Clothes wise you will be fine

I show my Welsh pony inhand in a normal snaffle bridle

I haven't seen anyone wearing jods at an in hand show (thanks to people on here I wasn't the only one wearing them

). I wear plain straight cut navy trousers with my hacking jacket and ankle boots

I would put the white halter on, mountain and moorlands i think seem to be wearing them, and the double reins and pelham will clog up his head, and yes, i think it will look untidy. No, not jods, just smart trousers and ankle boots, and good luck
