i know most of the hysteria has died down a bit now but there are still 'sightings' of these horse thieving 'eastern European' men being reported. Now my question is, how exactly do you tell if someone is Eastern European unless you have spoken to them, which 99.9% of the time no one seems to have done with these suspicious men

what is the stereotype of eastern european men these days, just so that i can make sure i don't confuse an eastern euro with a southerner

As far as I am concerned, you can't tell. Someone here, for instance, said the stereotypical Polish is tall, blonde and blue eyed, my neighbours are all short dark, and brown eyed.

We've had this question before and happily supplied a picture of a couple of EE's I know(which I can supply again if needed

).....but I had a revelation yesterday....in most parts of 'Eastern Europe' landowners aren't as uptight as people in the UK, when I go riding, we ride straight through people's fields, as long as we close the gates this is seen as the norm. Maybe these 2 or 3 EE's are actually being mistaken for a lot of visitors who just don't realise how protective people are and want to look at the nice horsies.....remember taking pictures is not a crime!

lol, thats my whole point really, everyone gets so worked up and don't stop to think about the practicalities of what was supposedly happening. thankfully it does seem to have died down, saving me a fortune on texts telling people not to be so gullible
