So if u muck out in the morning do you leave you bed up in banks and let your horse stand on concrete? Most of the horses at r yard are left like this if there not out ... i do it if my horse is in for a couple of hrs to keep the bed clean!

Just looking other peoples views on this :) i am a tad obsessive with my bed being clean :P

No we put beds back down. Some of the dirtier horses only get a little sprinkle- however all have rubber mats. If the ponies want to wee/lie down it isn't fair to do so on the concrete just for sake of clean shavings!

The place where i work atm leaves beds up through out the day, all the horses are in day and night, apart from being ridden. Cant say i agree with it.

If the horses are staying in for the day (happens about two days a year....) I muck out then relay bed. Ditto reply about laying down.

I really don't like rubber mats with a sprinkle of bedding. I know all about how they are suppsed to be comfy, but really I know what I'd rather lay on and thats rubber covered in a nice bed!

We sprinkle on top of mats for the dirty horses if they are in during day- deeper beds at night for all

Leave them up during the day, with a sprinkle of bedding in the middle for ones with no matting or ones who won't wee otherwise. :)
