First grooming, I have a Bichon x, with lovely long black hair, I really want to keep it and ensure that it doesnt all get tangled, whats the best spray in conditioner, can I use a human one???

Now the Raw question, my pup is 6 months now and I started last thursday introducing chicken wings, slowly, he only has 1 a day when I go to work, however he has had diarrhoea for the last 2 nights, so we went to the vets today and he has anti biotics as my mums dog was ill last week and they hand out together. Would introducing raw cause such a poorly tummy. I just want to give them to him as a treat when I leave him, it didnt take him long to figure out how to eat them.

Many thanks

Can't help you with the raw question.

The grooming side, you will need a good slicker brush, a greyhound comb and this is the best detangling spray that I find doesn't build up.

Are you feeding RAW with processed food? That might be the issue as processed food is (I think) processed though the system much slower and mixing the two together can cause issues??? (Only a guess as I've only been reading up on raw a few days!)

My choice of dog detangler is Flick n Swish - it smells lovely and doesn't leave sticky behind.

I don't think the raw wings should harm your dog's tum but make sure you thaw them at room temperature - leave them out the night before. We feed raw lamb necks and ribs to our dogs twice a week. They have scraps the rest of the time. They don't have any commercial dog food. They are never ill and have fabulous coats.

I cannot help you with the grooming but with the raw!
Sometimes with chicken the skin can cause problems as it is in the skin that many of the grow quick drugs they are given remains.

Personally I will not start a dog on chicken but would prefer breast of lamb or better still, tripe.
