Hi all,
After reading previous threads we are no closer to finding an answer. I am posting this for my friend as she doesn't have an account and we need quick replies. She is moving her very messy and wet gelding to another yard this weekend and he will be stabled for the first time (since her owning him in 3 years, he was previously stabled). She wants to chose a cost effective bedding that will be quick and easy to muck out yet won't look all dirty and sodden in 2 days time. She has time on the weekends to do a full muckout if required of the bedding and she can deep litter too although the horse isn't the "poop in one place and leave it alone type" and so she's worried about the amount of time she'll spend mucking out as he likes to hide it. The stables are quite large (approx 14ft by 17ft) with Quattro matting. Next comes the problem, she isn't the keenest on shavings as she saw my stable and feels her's will look the same, I've tried explaining to her that I am on a "sprinkle and sweep" system yet she is set in her ways. And her horse is a straw guzzler so that's a no. Any ideas? We are in west wales so some beddings are not available unless we bulk order so quick answers please so she can order if necessary. Thank You!
