Can a skewbald horse with a dark head have a white forelock? (I was pretty sure it was possible but google images isn't making me very sure!)

Bit pointless anyway... just trying to make a drawing that I need to finish as 'possible' as possible! xD Though a little silly as I never intended to finish the drawing until it started to look ok, and I never used a reference even though I'm rubbish at colouring pintos!

And I know plenty of you out there own/adore cobs/gypsy vanners so thought someone might give me a hint!

Might even have a piccy of it all finished after, so you can all criticize my appalling made-up pinto patterns!

I would have thought so. Their manes are different colours depending on what colour the hair is on the neck so surely the forelock is the same?!

There's plenty coloureds on the yard but can't think of what colour their forelocks are, how frustrating, you'll have to tell me when you've got an answer off someone

That's what I'm thinking, so I'm thinking poneh needs a chestnut forelock really and a bit of chestnut mane.... but there are always the odd ones with strange markings! xD

haha, sure someone will come up with the answer sooner or later!

I know of 2 skewbalds, both with dark heads, white blazes and dark forelocks. Cant recall ever seeing a coloured with a dark face having a white forelock that I can think of.
