For anyone that's interested!

We have been hacking & hacking & more hacking, and he has also had his teeth done which has made him a LOT more comfortable. He has started to fill out very slowly. He has also seen the farrier twice...hardly removed anything, but his feet have gone from looking a bit ragged to not looking too bad at all. We did a jumping lesson this morning...our first lesson was in a howling gale with jumps blowing everywhere, & he really didn't seem to understand the concept of jumping. I was thinking, meh, maybe we'll just do dressage. But today...OMG! I was expecting him to be indifferent, but he caught on really fast & I think he's just green & hasn't done much jumping. I also wasn't expecting him to be particularly athletic as I didn't think that QHs were showjumpers, but I nearly got jumped off two or three times. He really does have a jump. And he is also extremely bright, and soooooo much easier for me to ride than a great lump of an ID.

And my new lorry arrived this morning! Super excited! So we can go off to our pleasure ride tomo! And our first comp next w'end! Very, very excited...it's been a long time coming.

He is such an easy horse, really friendly, non stressy & I am very, very pleased with him. :D:D

Glad to hear you’re having such a wonderful time with him after the time you’ve had! Long may it continue!! 😀😀

I really wanted some photos of this morning, except they would be embarrassing ones of me being launched skywards, but o/h walked me there....then walked home for breakfast! He is not v interested in jumping. He is also not v good at videoing or photos & tends to capture the very moments that I do NOT want preserved for posterity!

So pleased to hear this ones working out well, you deserve a break. Can we have a pic of him so we can see how hes looking now youve had a chance to get a bit more condition on, he had the most lovely head and eye but was a little bit "light", Ill bet hes looking a picture now with his summer coat as well x

Fantastic news. My QHx had a great jump and loved it too. In pleased you gave him a chance and are having so much fun.

Yay! Really pleased for you.

Glad hes flourishing under your care and can't wait to see how hes coming along <hint hint>

Well, we had our first trip today, in my new lorry that only arrived yesterday! 11 mile RDA pleasure ride. I wanted to see how he’d be at a party. The answer is, super chilled. No neighing, not stressy, didn’t mind people going past and then cantering off, jumped a few logs, had a long wait as someone couldn’t get their horse past something and he just stood, cantered with the people I was riding with and didn’t get competitive... Some of the tracks were extremely stony and his little bare feet were fine.

I will try to add some photos but I am hopeless at it!

The uploaded file is too large. **sighs** CDD9F1DB-F124-4CF2-89E0-42C4E178041D.jpeg

Can you take a snapshot of the pictures on your phone and post those? The files aren’t so big, it worked for me. Good luck I want to see more of him 😊
