Important: Please be aware that there are various criminal scams going around. You may get enquiries, particularly from outside the UK, offering to buy your goods by sending you a larger value cheque or money order than your asking price, asking for your bank details, or asking for you to arrange overseas shipping at your expense. These messages often are often badly written and use poor English. Look out for phrases like 'current condition' and 'final asking price' which are often used. Do not respond to them - they are fraudulent.

I have a beautiful mare on the market and have received e mails from Canada ..perhaps the same one.....from Italy and another obvious scam type no country named. Spelling and grammar is obviously not their strong point. I haven't answered any but a friend tells me she replies "F off" each time!

here's hoping we get some genuine buyers!

It's more than likely money laundering. I had this when I tried to sell my saddle. I put it on horse mart. Got an e-mail more or less straight away saying they wanted it and would send me a cheque in payment. Sounded a bit dodgy but thought well if I get a cheque and it cashes no worries. Anyway a cheque turned up a couple of days later for £4,000 ! Saddle was for sale for £400. It's dirty money which they want cleaning through your bank account. Don't under any circumstances accept any payment !! Was well annoyed cause I had already ordered my new saddle and was counting on money to go towards my new one. Ended up taking it to Rideaway and only got £200 in the end for it.
